Our purpose:

Building a better future for children

KIRKBI is the holding company of the LEGO Group and other companies owned by the Kirk Kristiansen family. We develop and own businesses that help build a better future for children around the world

Driving impact through three business areas

KIRKBI reinvests proceeds from the LEGO Group and other activities into three business areas that support our purpose. KIRKBI also manages a portfolio of financial investments, safeguarding the family ownership for generations to come.

Overseeing an ambitious owner vision

As the holding company of the Kirk Kristiansen family, who founded the LEGO Group in 1932, KIRKBI oversees progress on the long-term owner vision outlined by the family.

Guided by LEGO® founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen’s principle that, when it comes to children, “only the best is good enough”

From 1932 to today, our conviction remains unchanged. We believe that children deserve better: better opportunities to reach their full potential and a brighter future for the planet we all share.
